Happy Birthday Skater Boy

Well it isn't often that I get to say this but heck - i really LOVE this card! I think alot of it is to do with its simplicity - ok so there is an AWFUL lot of buttons on it, but other than that it is quite simple. I am trying really hard to work on my colouring this year, I keep seeing awesome artwork out there and just wishing my cards could compare, this image is really great for practising, the dude has a nice big head LOL!!

I used one of my new kraft card blanks, and then simply added 3 strips of Basic Grey Archaic paper - my go to papers for masculine cards. These sadly have nearly all gone too, but I only used scraps for this card, so I must remember to copy this layout in the future!! I cut the image out with circle nestabilities and coloured him with my copic markers. I then stuck him to the card and surrounded him in various buttons I have been collecting for years yet never seem to use. I finished the card with some faux stitching, some orange gems and a rubon sentiment.

Inspirational Notebook

Well, as I said a few posts back, one of my new years resoloutions was to make some more me time and to try and craft a little bit more. Although I hate sharing the box room with Craig as its sooo cramped and tiny, it is also really lovely because it has meant that I have been able to sit and craft a bit in the evenings while he is busy doing whatever it is that he does on his computer at night!!

To try and keep me a little more organised I thought that I would alter a notebook to keep at my side on my desk to jot little notes, challenges and inspiration in. I couldn't resist using this image when i found it during a clearout - I like to think that is what i look like while catching up with all your beautiful blogs!! I think she is Stamping Bella and she has been coloured once again with copics. The papers are all MMEand I finished off with a button, some ribbon and blingy chipboard alphas :)

No - you are not going mad, I have indeed made a christmas card!!! Last year I was absolutely RUBBISH with my Christmas cards, I am thinking the newborn baby thing was a lot of the reason, but still, I knew when she was due so I could have done ALOT better. To try and rectify the situation, I have promised myself to try and make a few Christmas cards each month.

This is another cute little card so there wasnt really much room for embellies. The papers are MME Colourful Christmas and they have all be layered upon black cardstock with the right edges rounded. Quite a simple card really, image is a digi from somewhere and has been coloured with my copic markers, to add some extra detailing I covered the snow in the image with polar white flowersoft and added some 3d glaze to his little eyes and buttons. A little craftwork cards sentiment in the corner with glamour dust sparkle and a sparkling diecut snowflake and little pink rose.

- Sorry about the awful pictures that I have been posting lately!!! The weather outside is .. well frightful lol and it gets dark stupidly early, I have taken to photographing my cards and projects under the daylight lamp which isnt too ideal!!

Awesome Dude

Today I have another card to share with you. This time I made the effort to make a boys card as I do tend to be drawn to all things pink and sparkly! The card is made with a mixture of old, really old and new stash :)

The papers are all Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride - I just love these for male cards but have nearly used them all up :(, the image is Stampavie and is called Skateboard dude which has of course been coloured in with my copic markers, to add a bit of detail I glossy accented the wheels but I am not sure if you can see too well on the picture. I cut the image out with my new square nesties - I know they arent a new product out but I have wanted them for aaaaages and finally got them in the sale - yay!! i then finished the card off with a metal awesome sentiment that I have had for yeaaaaaaaaaaaars and chipboard alpha adding a little bit of bling at the top.

Out with the Old

The challenge over at Stamping for the Weekend is out with the old. The perfect challenge to help me use up old stash. I am right in the middle of a sort out at the moment and am trying really hard to organise all my bits together so I can actually find and therefore use it all. - Quite an apt challenge for me really, I am sorting through and trying my little hardest to out with lots of old!!!!! I cant wait to get it all finished, where I share a teeny box room with OH as his study I will hopefully be able to get much more crafting done in the evenings while he is busy doing what it is he does all day long on the computer ;)

This little card is smaller than I usually make but I kinda like it for a bit of a change. All the papers are old scraps that I sorted through, the flower and button are also really old stash. I can't even remember the last time I used a button on a card, my poor blooms have been neglected too since I discovered Wild Orchid Crafts! The image is another favourite of mine from Lili of the Valley and was coloured using my copics with lashings of glamour dust.

Lilis Little Fairies

Ok, so I am back with a card - yay!!! Boy have I missed my crafting, it is just soooo relaxing. I really am going to try super hard to find the time to get creative, its good for the children too - i LOVE how both Ryan and Abigail now have their own little craft box and ask me if I will sit and make cards with them. Creativity is a wonderful thing!!

For my card today, I thought I would choose a challenge and work my way from there to get me back into the swing of things. I was sooo sad to see that in my absence LOTV blog had closed down, then super happy again to see that a new one had started. I do LOVE me those Lili of the Valley images. The challenge that they are holding at the moment is favourite images. Now, I can honestly say that I dont have a favourite, they are all just sooo cute, but I can say that this one is definately in my top 10. Such a pretty image. I kept the layout nice and simple to show it off to its best, just a few of my favourite things added, some kraft cardstock, gorgeous blooms and gems. I had to squeeze a little diecut scalloped border in there too - gotta love my scalloped edges!!! Ooooh and she was of course coloured with my beloved copic markers - boy has it been a long time since i used them, need me some practise i think!!

A bit of an update :)

Ok, so firstly it has been suuuuuch a long time since I last posted - naughty naughty blogger - soo long in fact I can barely remember how to blog!! Want to know whats kept me soo busy? .....

... I had me a baby!!! See - thats me in the picture just a few hours after having her LOL!!! My gorgeous little Bethany Rose, she is a little monkey at bedtime, but boy do I love her. She has truely completed my little family.

Seee - how perfect is THAT (well apart from the crazy faces the kiddies are pulling)!!! Boy am I one lucky Mummy!!! Between Bethany and Ryan and Abigail I have sure been kept busy at home.

As you can see from the second picture - my little princess is growing soo fast now, she is 5 months old infact, still not sleeping but I am kinda used to no sleep now!!! I really do miss my crafting and blogging, so have made it my mission for 2012 to take a little bit of time to get creative each week - happy mummy = happy children!!

In order to make room for Bethany I have had to relocate ALL my craft stash into poor Craigs office, so I am now in major stash sort mode, and am looking forward to finally joining you all again getting crafty!! x x

I have used an old favourite for my card - Milton with Bouquet!! I just love all the WRS christmas designs and thought it would be fun to preview one of the older designs so you can see that ALL of the Christmas stamps are adorable!!!

I have of course coloured Milton in with my copics and have added lots of glamour dust to make it extra sparkly - well it is christmas after all!!! The papers used on my card are also from Wild Rose Studio and are from the Milton Christmas paper stack. This is a goooorgeous paper pack, full of lots of pinks and purples as well as the traditional greens and reds. I loooove it! My card was then finished with some faux stitching, some ribbon, a few gems and a mini message from Craftwork Cards.

LOTV Challenge - I believe in Fairies

Well .. I have just been DYING to try out my newly found colouring skills I acquired on the LOTV colouring day! Alas, I still have not managed to find the time to colour anything in yet .... Im planning on slipping my markers into the car to take with us on our little holiday next week but shhhh, I haven't told OH that yet!!

As I love LOTV to pieces, and happened to have this little cutie coloured up from last week when i made my notebook, I thought i would plop her on a little card, so I can at least join the LOTV challenge :) Just a super quick post from me today - image is obv LOTV, coloured with copics and papers are all scraps left over from my notebook I made the other day. Infact I think pen colours are the same too as i coloured the images at the same time! Roses are wild orchard crafts coloured with a copic a little bit and the sentiment is the same as yesterday. - See quick post for me!

MMCS Challenge 7 - Favourite Colours

This week over at the My Mums Craft Shop Challenge blog, our theme is favourite colours. Now I have looooads of favourite colours, well ... purple and pink. Seeing as my blog is full of purple cards at the moment i decided to go for pink this time, with a little accent of yellow - purely because i loooooooove the papers and wanted to add that cutie of a butterfly!! This week we are sponsored by Meljens Designs and the winner gets to choose 4 digi stamps of their choice - what a fab prize to win!

The design team were lucky enough to be given some gorgeous images to play around with too - I have coloured my little beauty in with my copic markers, and have cut and mounted her up using nestabilites large circles and scalloped circles. Quite a simple little card from me today, I have never made an easel card like this before and have always wanted to have a go at it - I am loving the results!! The papers are all Basic Grey Urban Prairie, and have been paper pierced and run over with a gel pen to look like stitching :) The card is then finished off with a thinking of you pebbles inc rubbon - i thought it quite apt really with that cute lil girl giving the teddy a big hug!!

MMCS Challenge 6 - Anything but Square

Well, its Wednesday which means its time for a new challenge over on the My Mums Craft Shop Challenge Blog. This week we have the theme of ' anything by square ' ... basically, as long as it isn't square you can enter the challenge! As always you don't need to make a card to be eligible for the prize, you can enter anything crafty ... my DT entry this week is an altered notebook ... here it is ...

With baby due in 9 weeks time, I figured it was about time I started to get myself organised so i created this gorgeous lil notebook to keep all my DT duties in and to have at hand when I make my cards so I can actually remember what I used on each card as I post them - super handy for me to list copic colours etc in too! Hope you like it ... its currently sat looking pretty next to me on my desk as i write up this post!

The image has been coloured in with my copics (colours listed below now I am super organised and have my lovely notebook!), is of course from TGF and is Stamping Anya - I couldnt NOT use her really could I - i DO love stamps and evidently i seem to love glitter too! The image, the chipboard alpha and all around the edges of the notebook are all COVERED in Icicle stickles glitter glue, I love how its clear but goes teally and coppery in the light, matches those gorgeous First Edition papers perfectly. I have cut the image out using large classic oval and mounted onto a large scalloped oval nesties. To finish the front off I simply added some faux stitching around the edge and a bow to the top made from peach polkadot ribbon i found in my stash. I didnt want to add too much because i know its all gonna fall off!!!

A little bit of a late My Mums Craft Shop Challenge 5

Here is my entry to this weeks MMCS Challenge. Apologies for being soo late posting it - it doesnt help that blogger has been naughty and wouldnt let me in yesterday to play catch up!! I STILL haven't found the time to sort out and unpack my stash into its new home yet - can you believe it!! I have been super tired with this lil bump - or should I say BIG bump!! I have had numerous tests done this time around for various things they think i might have and I gotta growth scan on Monday because they are worried its a lil elephant im carrying around - super excited to see baby again though - yay!! 10 weeks today and she should be here .... well 10 weeks till due date ... its going so quickly now! Back to the card .... here she is ....

Pretty :) The papers are all First Edition and if you look carefully I think you can catch the sparkle on them - LOVE these papers - sooo pretty!! The image is from Stamposaurus and has of course been coloured in with my copic markers. The challenge this week over at MMCS is To Die For ... so i have cut the image out with my Nestabilities - Lacey Squares, and cut the butterflies out using MTF Die-namics Butterflies. I then finished the card off with my scalloped border punch, some paper piercing and some gems to add a little sparkle to the butterflies :)

Speaking of pretties ...... I left the scraps on the table whilst I went to make dinner and look what came walking into the kitchen ...

Cheeky lil monkey only went and made a scrapling with the offcut of the card base!! Saved me clearing the table for dinner though .. she stuck EVERYTHING down on it bless her ... so proud of her card she wanted to make sure i took a picture of hers too - so here is my lil 3 year old Abigail and her entry into the challenge too - she used die-cut butterflies and LOTS of them - if you click it should go bigger so you can see - i didnt have the heart to crop her out of the picture she is FAR too cute if i do say so myself!!!

MMCS Challenge 3 - Flowers

This weeks challenge over at the My Mums Craft Shop Challenge blog is Flowers. You can use any type of flowers you want, ones featured in an image, decoupage, embellies, flowers on the background paper, any flowers you have in your stash, as long as we can see a flower you will be counted!! This week we have an awesome prize too ... the Marianne Designs Chinese Rose Die from the fabby My Mums Craft Shop Store!!!

Now before I show you my card I feel I need to do some explaining! It is a very VERY simple card from me this week! We spent the bank holiday weekend re-arranging the whole house! Well ... over half of it!! Making room for bumpy to arrive we had to move Abigail out of the box room into Ryans room, Ryan into our old room, our old room into the loft ( which was OHs office/my craft room ) and all the stash and the computer into the box room!! Phew!! Just thinking about it makes me tired again! MIL looked after the kiddies for us, so we painted their bedrooms as a nice surprise for them! We now have 2 very beautiful looking childrens bedrooms, but I am yet to sort through my craft stuff so this was made on very limited supplies I'm telling you!!!!

Seeeee ... very simple ... not even a nestie in sight!! Can you believe it!! I couldn't find have my copics either :( so I used ...... E33, E35 for the hair, E000 and R20 for the skin, Y11 and Y13 for the clothes and R20 and RV04 for the skirt - seriously - only 7 pens!! So dont look tooo closely at the colouring LOL!!! To try and make a simple card look a lil better I did some paper piercing around the edges, added the 13 in the corner so I could give it to my cousin who turns teenager today and lots and LOTS of flowers! Now flowers i COULD find so i sort of added billions - I even covered the bow in here hair with a few to match! The papers are .. Basic Grey for the butterfly one and craft work cards the pink one, a very bright combo I know but where the card is soo simple I thought it would work ok. - When i say I had limited supplies .... i was going to take a side shot to show you but the battery died .. my card is soooo high ... i couldn't find any glue or tape to stick it together with so everything is mounted onto the card with foam pads LOL its inches high - thank goodness I dont need to post it!!

MMCS Challenge 2 - All that Glitters

It's challenge 2 over on the My Mums Craft Shop Challenge Blog today, and the challenge is ... All that Glitters. Well I can tell you BOY does my card glitter today! I have tried really hard to capture it in all its sparkliness .. I think you can just about see it if you look hard enough!! The prize for this weeks challenge is a £10 voucher to be spent here in My Mums Craft Shop. Sooo many scrummy goodies it's gotta be worth an entry right .. infact I have used lots of yummy goodies from the shop on my card!!

The papers are both totally scrummy!! They are COVERED in glitter and come from the 6x6 First Edition Spring Fever paper pad. The image is the beautiful Wild Rose Studio - Mia with Flower and she has of course been coloured in the Copic Markers, I will pop a list of the colours I have used at the bottom of this post as I have surprisingly had a few people ask me how i colour my images!!!! The image has been cut out using Nestabilities - Classic Circles and mounted onto a Nestablilites - Classic Scalloped Circles. The gorgeous lace is Prima Alencon Lace and the Happy Birthday is a Craftwork Cards Tiny Sentiment that has been mounted onto both the First Edition paper and kraft cardstock. I finished the card with a large rose and some blooms coloured with the same copics as the image, some gems, die cut butterflies and ooodles and oodles of Crystal Stickles - i literally smothered the card in the stuff ... the image got glittered and the blooms and rose too!!!!

Another card to share today, this time featuring an ADORABLE Lili of the Valley image. Ooooh, how i love those stamps!! I actually love them all, the girly ones, the cute ones, the ones for guys ... i dunno what i would do without them!! This is the first time I have inked up this lil cutie, just perfect for Dad/Uncle/Grandad cards don't you think!!

I have coloured the little cutie in with my copics to match the Basic Grey Archaic papers. I haven't used these papers in a loooooong time, I just love them for male cards though, and the greens seemed to match the image beautifully! Nice and simple one from me today, image cut with oval and scalloped oval nesties, papers layered onto kraft cardstock then just some string, a mini message and some chipboard alphas to finish it off.

Happy Birthday Flower Girl

Today I have a gorgeous lil card to share with you that I made for my cousins birthday using lots of yumminess available from My Mums Craft Shop. Before I show you the piccy though I need to apologize for the photo!! My laptop has died on me ... the battery has been rubbish for ages, we have had to solely rely on the charger when using it and yesterday ... well lets just say there was smoke a funny smell and sparks so that is now buried in the bottom of the bin!!!! No files, no photoshop - how will i survive!!!! Hopefully when we replace the charger/battery I will be able to edit pictures properly and change them all over then ... soooo here is the cardage :)

Sooo pretty!! I love the freshness of this card if i do say so myself!! The image is Stampavie - Flower Girl and she has of course been coloured in with my copics. Im trying desperately to get in lots of practise before i attend my colouring course - sooo excited!! The image has been cut out using Classic Standard Circle and Classic Scalloped Circle nesties. Those scrummy papers are just to die for!! They are from the First Edition - Spring Fever paper pad, the card has then been finished off with a STUNNING Prima Gwendolns - Bluebird flower in yellow, some Gardenia Blossoms, Prima Bling and a craftwork cards tiny sentiment. As it was in the shape of a little tag i thought i would punch a little hole in it and hang it from the ribbon - cute right?

MMCS Challenge 1 - Anything Goes

Ooooooh, its an exciting day today ... the very first challenge has gone live on the My Mums Craft Shop Challenge blog - yay!! The first challenge is "Anything Goes" - no excuse not to enter - especially when we have such an awesome prize available .... CC Designs Fall Birgitta Stamp & Everyday Circle Sentiments!!!! Plus there is a DT call too!!

Here is the card that I have made for the first challenge. I was completely inspired by the fabulous weather that we have been having there last few days when making this, so it is very soft, sparkly and pretty!! I have used some gorgeous sparkly DCWV papers piered around the edges and layered them onto some pink cardstock distressing the edges, you can just about spot my favourite scalloped border punch thrown in there too!! The stamp is of course Penny Black ... sooo cute, this lil beauty is You Are The Bestest and is a self cling unmounted stamp - such a reasonable price for a large PB beauty!! I have of course coloured the image in with my copics, and have cut the image out using a Nestablities - Lacey Square - I LOVE the little detail this die gives to the edge of the image!!!! I then added more sparkle with a border of pink gems around the image and finished with a sentiment made from doodlebug rubbons.

Purple overload!

Today I have my Mothers Day card for my Mum to share. I always make her card for Birthdays ect, and she always tells me that my cards all look the same - well not the same but that she can tell that I made them - I hope she is talking about my 'style' lol, so a few weeks ago I made her Anniversary card ridiculously simple, it looked nothing like any of my other cards! I thought she would be pleased, but she said she didnt like it as much ... it didn't look like a Zoe card lol - no pleasing some people hey? So when i made her Mothers Day card I wanted to try and make it as ME as possible!! When i was younger I was slightly obsessed with purple, if it came in purple I had to have it, so I thought i would make my card as purple as possible .. looking at it now I think it might be purple overload hehe!!!

I used another Lili of the Valley cutie, I do love their images!!! I coloured it with my copics, cut out with a nestabilities large circle and mounted onto a large scalloped circle. The papers are of course Wild Rose Studio Lilac Mist, and everything has been mounted onto purple cardstock ... can you see that scalloped border punch poking through again? Love it!!!! I paper pierced around some of the edges, added a bow, a little rose and some gems to finish I couldn't resist the little sentiment which I printed from the computer, I wanted to get the handmade idea in there somewhere where the lil bear is cooking up a cake, and I thought it seemed fitting as I handmade a ZOE card for mum lol!! ... Hope its not tooo purple for you all!!

Happy Mothers Day everyone!! I hope all you Mummys out there have got a nice relaxing day planned .. I've gotta go to work today - booooooo!! I am going over to Mums for brekkie though before work, then when I finish I will have the in-laws and grandparent-in laws at home - they are coming all the way down from Great Yarmouth so it will be lovely to see them briefly after work before they go home!! Speaking of the in-laws .... he is the card I made my mother in-law. I've had to wait untill now to post it because she would have seen it!!!

I have of course used another Lili of the Valley image - oooooh how I love their designs - luckily for me MIL is a fan too so here's hoping she likes it! I coloured the image with my copics, then found a sentiment from Craftwork Cards floating around in my stash that was cream - so i had to colour around the image to try and blend it in with the cream .. it looks a much better match in real life, the picture seems to be making it look a bit wishy washy and streaky - i assure you its not!
The papers are again from Wild Rose Studio, but this time the Kate Knight Floral Fantasy. Another new favourite of mine, full of bright pinks, turqouise and teals - gorgeous and a perfect match to the prima e-line flowers in fuschia and aqua. I cut the image using a Large Circle nestability and mounted it onto a Large Scallop Circle to frame it a little bit. To finish the card off I used my Fiskars scalloped border punch, added some roses to the centres of the prima flowers, a few gems to the corner and paper pierced along all the edges to add a bit of interest.

Today I have another cutesy girly card. I cant stay away from all things girlie for too long!! Sooo pretty in the soft purples, blues and pinks :). Such fabulous day too ... oh I do love it when the sun shines ... totally provided the inspiration for my card!!

I have used Wild Rose Studio Lilac Mist papers again, they are sooo pretty, such soft delicate colours!! I used nesties to cut out the image, but i trimmed around her lil spotty present before placing it in the die so i could have it popping out the oval, then I have mounted her up on a scalloped oval to frame her.
I have of course coloured my lil LOTV cutie in with copics, and I have glittered her lil wobbler headband, her shoes, and the bow and spots on the present .. you might just be able to pick it up if you click the piccy to make it larger!! I dusted off one of my favourite border punches too - the MS Lace Heart punch forgot how much mess it made though, little dots and hearts everywhere!!!!
I made some cute little butterflies to embellish my card today, i simply punched 2 buttterflies from cardstock and folded them in half slightly to make them flutter, then added a butterfly to each cut from my papers and a little row of gems for the body ... so pretty!!! I then simply finished off with a ribbon tied in a bow with a little rose added and a Craftwork Cards mini message.

Well, back again already - and with another male card to add to my collection!! Im sure you all know by now how much i LOVE Wild Rose Studio stamps .... check out this fisherman!! I love all their stamps for men and own quite a few now!! I couldn't resist this lil fella ... with my Dad being a keen fisherman I am sure that he will get used lots! Plus .... I already had some lil fishy charms floating around in my stash - perfect!!!

I have of course coloured my image with my copics .... as if i would use anything else!!! I am desperately trying to practice colouring with them in time for my colouring class - I know ... the idea is they teach you improve on the course but i dont wanna be bottom of the class now do I LOL!!! The papers are MME Stella Rose Hattie again, I love the teal, navy and mustardy yellow in these - perfect for the fellas. I finished with some more stars cut from MFT Die-Namics Stacking Stars, some gems, string ... the lil fishy of course and a craftwork card sentiment. - oooh and if you look carefully you will see my fiskars scalloped punch made an apperance too!

Mia with her Flower

How gorgeous is litte Mia with her Flower? I was getting bored off making mens cards so I went super cute and girly with this one!! Purple is one of my favourite colours, but I dont tend to use too often on my cards as i really struggle to find nice purple papers ... I know I cant be the only one!! ..... Well .... WRS have now launched a paper pad called Lilac Mist ... its LUSH and full of such pretty purple, lilac and pink papers. There was no doubt i would be getting my inky lil mits on this one!!!

I coloured Mia in with my copics, cut her into a nestabilities circle, then mounted her onto a nestabilities scalloped circle ( in purple of course!! ) I then layered her onto a gorgeous paper doily! Honestly I have had these for ages ... I think i got them from Ally Pally, they are 5" so pretty large and I have never really known what to do with them, but i think they look perfect as an extra mount ... soo delicate and pretty! I finished the card off with a Craftwork Cards sentiment and 2 purple blooms with lil purple roses stuck in the middle. Ooooh how I love girly cards!!

Ok ... before I show you all the cardage - yes I have actually got a card to share with you all!!! I wanna say sorry!! Boy has it been a long time since i posted on here, I wish that I could say that I have been crafting and just not found the time to blog, but truth be told, I just haven't found the energy to craft ... and even when Im not feeling too peaky I just haven't had the mojo. My lil bumpy has been playing up, for a while I was seriously worried about her .... yes ... its a girl - yay for all things pink and princessy!!!, but a few scans later and for now, I have no need to worry!!! - i dunno .... still in the womb and she a lil Diva already!!

Buuuut ... thats enough waffle about me ..... here is a card I made for my uncle for his birthday. I didnt really wanna make a card, but can you believe in my 'rather full' stash for cards I have built up not ONE of them was for a man or even a boy!! Eeeeeeeeeek - maybe its a good thing i got another lil pink one on the way after all!!! Soooo I HAD to make him a card, and I am really glad that I did ... I really enjoyed making it and it has reminded me just how much i do enjoy crafting!!

The lil cutie image is of course by Lili of the Valley and has been coloured in with copics, I have a few more male images I am gonna have to work my way through .... big stock of masculine cards coming up I think! I have used my scrummy Fiskars scallop border punch - love the simplicity of it - perfect for male cards. The papers are MME Stella Rose Hattie, and the stars are cut using MFT Die-namics Stacking Stars, I have been looking for a die or something to help me embellish my male cards and this lil beauty is perfect. Its a fairly new online store but BOY has she filled it quickly ... there is serious lushness going on over there with reasonable prices and cheap p&p too .... go check it out!

Ok, there are way tooooo many challenge blogs out there now!! Literally, thousands and thousands!! I swear i can easily spend hours just looking through challenges etc and never actually get around to making a card!! This year - to try and increase time actually spent crafting I have decided that I am going to enter just a few of my favourite challenges and that I will try and support them on a regular basis - obviously if i can snoop around when blog hopping and see that my card can be used in other challenges too then thats a bonus!!

Its not surprises to anyone that checks my blog that Lili of the Valley and TGF are my favourites ( at the moment of course :p ) so I wanted to try and enter those challenges first. As LOTV places a new challenge up on Thursday I thought i best get my bottom into gear and set about following their gorgeous sketch!!

Totally girly and totally awesome right - I am LOVING how girly this card is!! I was looking through the website yesterday to set about ordering myself some new stamps, I saw this lil beauty and remembered that I bought some squares at NEC!! I have never used a die-cut image on a card before but I love how quick it was to make - i prettied the image up a wee bit, glittering her dress, giving the lil teddy a shiny nose and eyes, and shining up the bow on the present with my glossy pen. Soo simple!!

I have decided to try and start adding a list of supplies at the bottom of my post, I have seen them on lots of peoples blogs, and I find it really nice to see the products used so I can add to my wish list! - That and it will actually be really useful to me - I can see what I have used and can therefore in theory have a record of what works well together!

Glitter and Glitz at Lili of the Valley

I am seriously in need for some more Christmas cards - with the big day sooo close its just plain scary - people are gonna want their cards before christmas too right? eeeek!!

The challenge this week over on the LOTV challenge blog is Glitter and Glitz, the perfect challenge for a chrimbo card!!

I have of course used another of the adorable snow bunny images - I am serioulsy loving these stamps - I know they are soooo last year, but that doesn't make them any less adorable now does it!!

Lots of glitter on this beauty - well that was the challenge!!! - I glittered his hat and the snow, then used my quickie glue pen, a ruler and glamour dust to make a sparkly border - something a little different but I kinda like it :)

The papers are KaiserKraft and were free with a magazine, simple card really finished with a mini message ( also glittered i might add lol ) some ribbon and a teeeeny pom pom on the top of his hat - cute right?

I was doing sooo well with my blogging then everything changed!! Things have been a little crazy here lately - lots has happened - lots of stuff that doesn't involve cards - boooo!!! I have had my birthday, a weekend at birmingham, very poorly kiddies :( and then i had the silly idea to TOTALLY re-organize my craft stuff - seriously - I'm not quite there yet, but i can honestly say that at this present moment in time i know where everything is - woohoo!!

Well.... on to my card... a very simple card from me today featuring one of my new stamps by LOTV - ok, so it isn't a new stamp, but it is new to me and i love it!! It is seriously cute and i had a LOT of fun colouring it in.

Hmmm looking at the picture i took, I can assure you that the bottom part of my card isn't blurry in real life!! I have no idea what happened to the picture - maybe it is where the now and rose are 3d?

The papers are from various MME pads, bloom and grow and pretty please i think but I have had them ages so don't quote me on that one!!, each paper pierced and mounted onto kraft card. The ribbon is from the nec, its super cool stuff you can colour yourself, so that is exactly what i did with matching copics. The rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts and then I just finished with some gems. Very simple layout, but i think the image says it all really!!! Gorgeous!!

Winter Fun with LOTV

Back with the bunnies!! I can't resist them soooo beautiful and soo much fun to colour them in!!! The challenge this week over at the Lili of the Valley challenge is Winter Fun so I think this little beauty is just perfect!!

The papers again are by Coso Cricket Mitten Weather and they have all been mounted onto kraft card stock. Matches perfectly with the cute lil bunny who has of course, been coloured with my copics. Again I stuck with a simple layout adding some just some gems and some ribbon to finish it off, along with glamour dust of course ;). I would also like to enter this card into the colour create challenge which is purple aqua and white.

I told you I would be back with more Snowy!! I just adore Snowmen and am totally in love with his lil chap!!!! He is the cutest snowman i have ever seen!!

Again, the papers are Good Cheer by October Afternoon. I have mounted the papers onto black cardstock this time and I think it makes suuuuch a difference. It makes the papers look soooooo different!! Again, i added some sparkle, this time to the fluffy trim on his hat and some sparkling snow for him to sit on. I then finished off with some gems, ribbon and a charm alongside my usual mini message. I need to get me some more of these mini messages - they are definately my go-to sentiments at the moment!!

I found Snowy in stock!! - yeeeeeeah!!!!

I can not tell you HOW EXCITED I am to be able to share this card with you today. I fell in love with Penny Black Snowy when i very first started stamping years ago!! I recieved an atc with him on, then i got some images in a swap. Since then I have been looking for him!! For about 2 years he has been out of stock everywhere - I have managed to find Snowy with blanket and various other snowmen that they have made but not the origional Snowy!!! Well, last week i found him IN STOCK!! I had just presumed that he had been retired which is why I couldn't get one!! Sooooo excited when he turned up, I inked him straight away and me and the kiddies sat colouring him up!!! Naturally, I had to make him into a card straight away so what better than to enter the Penny Black challenge!!

I coloured Snowy in with my copic markers - he is sooooo easy to colour - love him, i tried to add a bit of texture when colouring the scarg and hat to make it a bit wooly looking. Then i went a bit overboard with the glamour dust so he is completely glittered!!! A super sparkly snowman!!!!!! I finished the card off with a punched border, a mini message and some gems. Pretty simple, but the blingy snowman adds enough detail I think!!! The papers are october afternoon Good Cheer, and are some random bits i found left over from last year.

I told you I was having a ball playing with the Lili of the Valley stamps didn't I!!! I am doing sooo well with my Christas Cards now!!! Yey!!! If i can manage to keep this up i should hopefully have enough made so this year I can actually send handmade cards to people!!

Here is another one I made the other day. I used the same Cosmo Cricket papers, only this time I used one of the more traditional red and green christmas papers from the pad and added one of the border strips along the bottom. All mounted onto red card with faux stitching added.

Well, I am back with more LOTV bunnies :) - I told you I love them!! I have teamed this one up with my favourite papers too - the purply ones from Cosmo Cricket - Mitten Weather. Love love love them!!

I mounted the gorgeous papers onto some purple DCWV card and pierced the edges of each finishing with some gems and a mini message - just couldn't resist using this sentiment with the image as santa bunny delivers his pressie to the bird house!!!

Farm Fresh Friday Sketch

Ooooh yes, its me again!! I have yet another christmas card to share with you - yeah!!! I have a few more made too using the LOTV stamps I was playing with earlier, but I thought I would post this one first to break them up on my blog.

I made this card following the Farm Fresh Friday sketch over on the greeting farm blog. As I seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment, I thought I would make my little boys card now, no doubt i will loose my mojo soon and struggle to create anything - at least thats one personalised one done!!!

I am really pleased with the way this card came out!! The papers are the same ones i used yesterday, they were left out so they got used - the same as the kraft, i mounted on black as well this time and I think it really ties the papers and image in with the doodlebug letters!! I finished the card off with lots of glamour dust on the furry bits of his outfit and LOTS of gems, anyone that knows my lil man will tell you how much he LOVES gems!! He is magpie when he sees them - he will stick as many as he can on a card when i let him help me so i just know that he will appreciate each and every one of them!!!

2 Lil bunnies under the tree!!

Well I am back as promised with bunnies!! 2 posts in one day, my how I am spooiling you!!! Hooray for the Christmas bunnies I just had to make a card straight away!!! Love them! At this rate I am suuuuure that I will have at least half the amount of cards that i need for christmas!!! Woohoo!!! You can grab this bunny here over at the lili of the valley store. He may be an oldie, but he is certainly a goodie!!!

I followed the Taylored Expressions sketch 131 for his card. I often see cards made for the TESC but i have never actually entered myself, I really enjoyed making this one and am really pleased with the results, I did have to change the proportions of the elements slightly where the image is soo big but you can still see the sketch. The papers are old from last year and are either Cosmo Cricket or October Afternoon, I bought some 12x12 sheets in the Jan sale and chopped them into 6x6 and now have no idea what they are - sorry! I have mounted onto kraft again and have added faux stitching to the background papers. I then finished with glamour dust, a mini message and some gems :)

As promised, I have jotted down the copic colours to add to my post, Im glad I did actually, knowing the colours I used is super useful for me too!! It will make it super easy to replicate!! The image was coloured using the following copics : r35, r37, g21, g24, yg67, e51, e53, c1, c3, e35, e37, y15 and y17.

LOTV Challenge - Bevs Sketch

How shocked are you to see me back soo soon?? I am turning into a bit of a blog Queen at the moment if i do say so myself!! - Ok .. blog queen is pushing it toooo far lol, but I have posted more in the last few weeks than i have in the past few months!!!!! Sooooo happy to be card making again!!

Today I have a card to share made for the LOTV Challenge where there is a fabulous sketch by Bev to follow! I love the sketch and I love the DT cards, but I am not really loving my card :S - I think its the flowers!! I haven't used flowers on my cards for ages and they look a little strange sat there!!! Hey ho .... its another Christmas card done so its not all bad!!

I ADORE this image!! It is one of last years Christmas releases I think, its way tooo cute, infact, I couldnt resist when making this card up and I coloured a few more, so I will hopefully have lots more LOTV chrismtas bunnyness to share with you all very soon!

I have used papers that I think are by Dovecraft, and I have layered them all up onto kraft card stock. Pierced all the edges of the papers and then finished the card off with pearls, the mini message, some ribbon and some roses - oooh and oodles of glamour dust on the image.

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Today I have a special card to share with you, its the card I gave to Dad for his birthday yesterday. I really enjoyed making this one!! There is just something about Wild Rose Studio images that I ADORE, they are sooooo much fun to colour!! I had a blast making his tummy as round as I could whilst practising my shading!!! To make it look even more like Dad i added a few stray grey hairs - although if I wanted it to be really realistic I should have stamped him on an agle agains the bar hehe!! If you wanna get your inky little mitts on this stamp, he is in stock here at My Mums Craft Shop.

The papers used are Basic Grey Granola, I picked them up at Ally Pally and I think they were a BARGAIN - £4.99 for a 12x12 pad!!! Im always struggling to find papers for masculine cards, and the browns and blues in this paper pad make it perfect!! Being a blokey card i left it fuss free, some scalloped edges and faux stitching to add interest, then sentiments printed on the computer and a few gems finish it off!!

Ooooh, yes - I have another festive creation to share with you today.I have officially started making a dent in my ever growing list of Christmas cards that need to be made. I have made a small number now, no way near enough, buuuuut .... I am slowly getting things moving and am starting to get in the festive crafting mood. I am LOVING my glamour dust and have been liberally sprinking it on everything - my whole house is pretty and sparkly :)

This gorgeous image is called Carol Singers and is available here in rubber or here in digital format. I have coloured my image in using copic markers (shock horror!! lol) and glitzed it up with some glamour dust on the fur trim - well it is a Christmas card after all - gotta have some sparkle!!! The papers are all from Cosmo Crickets Mitten Weather and have been mounted onto lilac card. I am seriously getting to the end of the purples supplied in the paper pack, - my faves - I only have enough for one more card - sob sob - it's a good job that I have some of the green and red designs left - yeah!!!! I have pierced some holes around the edges to add some details and finished with a mini message, some ribbon and gems.

Ok, so I used the same image as yesterdays card - can you blame me? Christmas is fast approaching, my cards made are few and well he is too darn cute!! How different does he look coloured though!!!! I love him to pieces!!

The papers are from the same Milton Christmas stack too - totally different looking though to the previous card, I love it when a paper pad is this versatile, lots of traditional reds and greens as well as pinks and purples!!! Sweet and simple again, just layered the papers up, added a TON of glitter, some gems and a mini message - the ribbon is from a really old kit from years ago - im being good and using up old stash - hooray!!!

Today I have a card to share that is slightly different from my normal style - ok, simple layers, gems, distressing and paper piercing around the edges might not be that different but i have never coloured black and white before!!

I love the way it has turned out!! Sooo easy to match with papers too lol, no need to worry that its not quite the right shade of red/green!! Simples!! I have used the goooorgeous Wild Rose Studio Milton Christmas Papers, along with Milton with Sledge, both are currently in stock at My Mums Craft Shop owned by the loooovely Kitty who I was very lucky to meet up with at Ally Pally!!! She is loooooooooovely!!! I finished the card off with a Christmas Mini Message, some purple gems, old purple papermania christmas ribbon - i think its papermania anyway and a punched snowflake - smothered in glamour dust, along with the majority of the image too actually, super sparkly crimbo card this one!!

I have another Fergus the Dragon cutie to share with you today!! I made this card a few weeks back but never found the time to blog it untill now!!! I really do ADORE this stamp!! Soooooo cute!!

I made this card for my MIL Tracey. I wanted to give her a card with her birthday presets when we met up at Ally Pally, as she had already had her birthday cards in the post, i thought especially for you would be the perfect sentiment to add. How versatile is this image - sooo many sentiments can go with it, love it!!

Papers again are Cosmo Cricket - I think these are Early Bird, but i am not 100% sure - again, they are the last few pieces i have, i seem to be Cosmo Cricket crazy at the moment!!! I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut each letter individually, then i finished the card with a flower, button and some gems from my stash!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you all. I stupidly counted how many weeks it was untill the big day, scared myself silly and set about making this asap!!! I do ADORE this little lady with her sledge full of gifts. It is just the sweetest image - I love her patterned hat and striped scarf and tights, just little details but they all make the image awesome!!!

I coloured her in with my copics, and once again i chose to keep the layout simple to draw all the attention to the beautiful girly. If you love "skating with gifts" as much as I do you can go and get her here in rubber or here in digi format. I used the digital image for this card, which enabled me to make her nice and big to fill up the card!! The papers are Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather and i finished off with some matching lilac gems, ribbon and a mini message, ooooh and I did some paper piercing around the edges too, my favourite thing to do at the moment!!!

Today I have some gooooorgousness to share with you all using the sweetest little dragon stamp ever!!! I simply adore this image, it Fegus just sooooooo sweet!!!

I coloured Fergus with boquet in with my copics and have mounted him onto more of the gorgeous Pixie-licious papers from Cosmo Cricket - i am seriously LOVING the papers in this pad. They are nearly all gone already i have used them that much!!! I have kept the card pretty simple, I think the image and the papers are scrummy enough that they dont really need too much fuss. I finished the card with a few gems, a mini message and some doodlebug alphabet stickers.

Yey!! Finally a card made just for me!! I absolutely adore being on my design teams, and have been working on secret projects that I have not been able to share with you all yet, and it seems like FOREVER since i last sat and made a card just for me, so that is exactly what i have done!! I absolutely ADORE all things TGF and I have had this cutie for ages and she has been left untouched she is called Cupcake Anya ad you can get her here!!

I really LOVE this card - it is really different from the ones i usually make but i just love it! I followed the Mystery Monday challenge on Club Anya and Friends blog. You had to use a punch on the side of the card blank and case Kims card, here is my attempt!! I really LOVE the scalloped sides - i took my piccy on an angle so you can see tha only the front has been scalloped. The papers i love too - my brand new favourites - pixi-licious - one of my goodies from Ally Pally.

Sorry the picture is sooo bad, the weather is terrible and pouring with rain, this is the best picture i have managed to get of it, i will definately try and get a one to load on here though because i LOVE it!! A pretty simple card really, finished off with some paper piercing, some lace and some gems.

Me again - yup still here promise lol!! I have a wee cutie of a card to share with you today using an awesome lil digi image from Squiggle Stamps called Tree of Joy. Soooo easy to colour - don't get me wrong i absolutely adore colouring ( its my favourite bit of card making, nothing like sitting down with some pens to make me feel young and care free again), but i stupidly looked through the calender and saw how close christmas was getting - tooo close if you ask me, i still have a gazillion things to do and i only have 3 christmas cards made!! This image if perfect, took all of 2 minutes to colour but looks super cute teamed with these cosmo cricket papers if i do say so myself!!

Nice and simple, a punched border, some paper piercing and some gems to finish it off - gotta have sparkle at christmas don't you know! Simple is about all i can cope with at the moment - my brain is frazzled with overtime, looking after my gorgeous lil kiddies and volunteering at my local school, it is simple cards or no cards!! I do still have a little time to play though ... I was lucky enough to go to Ally Pally on Saturday where I met up with some awesome ladies - hellooo girlies!!!! - and bought some yummy stash to play with! When i can manage to squeeze some extra hours into the day i will definately be having a play with my goodies so hopefully i will have more cardage to share with you all very soon!!!

How long has it been since I last blogged - way tooo long is the answer to that!!! Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way, I've been poorly, had CRAZY amounts of overtime at work ( and i mean crazy lol ) and some top secret stuff going on too - all can be revealed later i promise buuuuut, amongst all the crazyness I made this to share with you all!!!
( i say share with you all, you can all look at it, the sweets are loooooong gone lol )

Seriously - how cute is this!!! My Grandad bought my little ones some of these cute hedgehog marshmallows and as soon as i saw them i just knew that i had to put some aside to make this cute lil hedgehog holder!!!! You can't see them too well inside the little gift bag so i took another picture with a few lined up infront, seriously cute and seriously tasty!!!

I cut autumn girl out and stuck her directly onto the front with foam pads, sticking the little hedgie the other side of her balancing it all out nicely!! Look at him, staring up at the sweets i wonder what he is thinking - either yummmmy tasty or boy i hope i'm not next!!!!

Decoupage at Donnas Den

Apologies for being such a bad blogger - tis not my fault honest!! My blogger account is playing up something rotten - is anyone else having problems? It wont let me sign in, I have been trying all week - I cant post, cant comment - nightmare!! It has let me sign in now so I am going to quickly share with you my challenge card for Donnas Den before mr blogger decides he doesnt like me again!!

This fortnight's challenge at Donna's Den is Decoupage. For my card I have use one of the decoupage images from the Popcorn Birthday CD. Donna has a wide range of cardmaking and scrapbooking items from Dovecraft, Joanna Sheen, Crafter's Companion, Spellbinders.....to name but a few. The prices are reasonable and p&p is only £1. As i printed the decoupage straight from the cd i didnt need to do any colouring on this card - hooray!! I finished the card off with papers also printed from the cd, a sentiment i printed on the pc, a heart charm flowers and some ribbon all from my stash. To make it a little more special i covered it all in glitter lol super sparkly and pretty for my Nans 80th!!!

Just a quick post for now, i have to rush off to get ready for work now, i will add more piccies and link to challenges later ( if blogger lets me sign back in again!!! )

Ok, so today as promised I have my card that I made for Craig to share with you. Now before i get loads of comments - i know its girly for a guy!!! It looked fine untill i popped the pink bit on lol, oh well - its good for guys to get in touch with their feminine side once in a while right?

I made this card using a digital kit by the uber talented Zoe Pearn called So Sweet, all the papers and the alpha used to spell fiance came from the kit, I then hand cut a heart shape and printed the rest of the text on the pc and cut each letter out. Simples! I finised it off with a few roses, some pearls, a fibre strip and some lace which i rouched up to make it even frillier ( and girlier - oooops lol )

It was soo nice to make a card with no image for a change, I cant see myself doing it often but it def makes a nice change!!! Im really pleased with it - its a large card too - 8x8 - see totally outside my comfort zone!! I wanted it to be a special card though, being his first birthday as my fiance :)

Well firstly, before I even get on to any cardage I wanna say sorry I haven't been on here for a while!! Things have been go go go here I can tell you that!! Not only is it Summer holidays - boring lol, I have had some special birthdays aaaaaand, as it was my fiance's birthday - check me out fiance LOL, i organised for mum to have the kiddie winks for a few days and booked a room in london, so we went on a mini adventure to the city!! We had a fantastic time - very sophisticated we were - a trip to the theatre to see Chigago - which was AWESOME, then a trip to the Tate Modern and a trip to the British Museum - oooooh yes, the theatre and 2 museums - how very grown up are we now!! LOL!!! Soooo, that explains the lack of blogging, I doooo have cards though!!

As some of you may know, I am super lucky to have been picked to be on the DT for Squiggle Stamps and now have my very own lil spot on their blog every Sunday so today I have some of the cards I have made using their fabby images to share with you!! Some of you might have already seen these lil lovelies over ont he Squiggle Stamps blog, but I am yet to share them here so I thought i would pop them in this post as a lil treat for reading all my blurb at the beginning of the post!!

This first card features the gooooorgeous Polar Love digi image which you can grab here!! Yep - I didnt make a square card - are you proud? LOL I love the versatility of digi images, they lend themselves beautifully to resizing making them perfect for all card shapes and sizes. I am LOVING how little colouring this lil beauty needs!!! Just a little bit of light grey for shading and some blush finished off with a ton of glitter - well it is a christmas card after all!!! The papers are all Pink Petticoat Doodlicious Christmas, I finished it off with some ribbon from my huuuuge stash supply and some lil matching flowers in the corner - yes i know they are not really Christmassy flowers buuuuuut - they were the right colour :p

My next card features the gorgeous Oscar the Clown - again - I used the digital image for this card and it allowed me to curve the text around the image. If you fancy making a card with this lil cutie you will find him here in rubber and here in digi format. He is meant to look like he is juggling the sentiment - not sure if i pulled that one off lol, buuuut Im pretty happy with it!! Papers are from a digi kit by the looovely Zoe Pearn and thats pretty much it on this one, coloured as always with my copic ciao markers :)

Today I have my squiggle stamps card to share with you. I posted this Sunday over on the squiggly blog, but i have only just got around to sharing it here with you now!! Things are just crazy here at the moment. I am hoping things are going to be alot quieter today though - the weather is RUBBISH, rain drizzle rain - blah!! I thought Ryan was off school on his summer holidays lol, stupid english summer!! - enough moaning, time for some sweet squiggleness -

Seriously how sweet is that lil dude - now he really is a cool dude right? - That scarf too - i looooves it - now if that doesnt take the chill off the winter i have no idea what will!! Now if you want to have a play with Chilly Penguin you can grab him here in digi form over at Squiggle Stamps. I have teamed him up with papers and a sentiment I have had for AGES, and I added a little corner at the top to give him something to look at, I wanted to pop a snowflake there for him but there wasn't enough room :(. I then just finished the card off with lots of glitter - well if you cant go over the top with glitter at christmas when can you!!!!!

Something Sweet at Donnas Den

Today is my second challenge as a Guest DT member over at Donnas Den. For this challenge as my title suggests we want to see something sweet - Donna is very kindly donating a set of rubber stamps full of cupcake images - perfect for this challenge don't you think!!

Lots of the DT girlies took the 'sweet' element literally and there are lots of yummy cakes to go gawp at, I went for a sweet lil baby card.

How cute is popcorn? I have used this adorable platinum popcorn bear available from Donnas Den. Sooooo sweet and perfect for this challenge! I was undecided to do him pink or blue then remembered that I had these gorgeous pink flower sequins also available from Donna so that was that, popcorn was destined to be pink!!

A Gem of a Challenge

The challenge this week over at A Gem of a Challenge is a gorgeous sketch with the optional extra of using material on your card ie tulle, lace, net, suede, ribbon etc. I obviously followed the sketch lol and added some materially stringy lacey stuff on the panel behind the image - i have completely forgotton what that stuff is called - if anyone reading this knows please tell me - that is gonna bug me something rotten!!!!!

I have used 2 pink gem stamps on my project this week, Monster Izzy and Have a Monster Birthday sentiment. I love how you can get the message to tie up with the image! I paper pieced Izzys body to match the background paper just to try something a little different and I think she looks pretty cool!

I know that i promised you all my cards all scheduled this week, but i have honestly been really busy!! The kiddies left Tuesday to stay with their Nanny and Grandad for the rest of the week and then wednesday i had a LOVELY surprise!! Craig took me to a goooorgeous restaurant, then we went to watch fireworks on the beach and after them he asked me to marry him!!! How flippin exciting is that! We have been together for what seems like FOREVER - Ryan our eldest is now 5 so you can imagine how long we've been together ... yippeeee!! Soooo very excited!!!!

Right, there is my SUPER exciting news out the way - i still keep looking down at my gorgeous ring - its sooo sparkly!!! I do have some cards to share, and have a TON to make this evening too so there should be plenty of cardage happening over the next week or so ... on to the card ...

It was my Mums birthday last week, I have had this little red riding hood digi image for aaaaages, as soon as i bought it i KNEW i wanted to make a for you Grandma card with it, after all in the story she goes to visit Grandma right? Well my mum insists on being called Grandma, she didnt want to be a Nanny so this lil cutie was just perfect!!

Boy oh boy have I been a busy lil bee - I have been making cards - honest!! I just haven't really had the time to blog them, so I am gonna sit down and schedule them all into a week of posts - yeah!! Today I have this super cute football chick to share with you.

This whole card was totally inspired just by the sentiment can you believe it!! I had my freebie MME pad out still for the thousands of cards i seem to be making with it - just LOVE these papers, and the sentiment is one at the back of the pad!! My cousins birthday is coming up and she is footy MAD, playing for her local team etc so the image then came into play and the papers - well i just love the colours and they seem to match the sentiment nicely. ( I have almost run out of all the papers that are meant to go with the sentiment LOL!! I distressed the edges of all the papers - surprise surprise lol and i did some paper piercing to prick around the edges of the papers. I finished it off with some little butterfly buttons - purely because I thought the colours matched nicely lol!!

Today I have a card to share, not a DT card just a pretty card!! Seems like ages since i made a card just because!! I bought this cutie along with a few other Cuthbert and Kiki images a while back and I have been waiting to use him. Isn't he gorgeous!!! He is of course from Pollycraft and there are TONS more that i neeeed!!!!

I kept the layout pretty simple on this one, I say on this one, most of my layouts seem to be simple at the moment!! I kept it simple anyway :p, and finished with string and a button, perfect many embellishments!!!

Today I have a Pink Gem card to share with you featuring the gooooorgeous Halloween Chloe!! Halloween??? Yup - tis really not that far away - eek!!! My how quickly time flies eh? - Enough waffle back to the card .....

How cute is Chloe sat there with her lil kitty! Looking at it now i should prob have given her a black cat being Halloween and all, but the lil ginger cutie seemed to match my papers better!! I created the sentiment on the computer, i thought it fitted this lil sweetie perfectly!! The papers are from a digital pack called Boo to You, and i finished the card off with a black ribbon and some pearl stars which i coloured black with my copic marker. Thats it really nice and simple to show you that gorgeous image to its full potential!! Well i would love to be able to come on here and say " Today I'm sooo excited, its my first day as guest designer over at Donnas Den Challenges" ........ buuuuuut, i should have posted my card on Monday!! I had my card made in plenty of time, I just completely forgot about posting it in time for the challenge - in my defence I have been away for a few days .... we took the kiddies to Chessington World of Adventures to meet up with their uncle, we had an awesome time, but I shall stop there and get on to my late challenge card!!!!

Before i get any of you asking ... YEP i actually did make it all by myself ... soooo unlike me right? Donna was VERY kind and sent me some bits and pieces from her awesome shop to use when making my cards. This lil apple sticker is one of the only green things i had and i obviously wanted to use something she sent me, so i went for a cute iddy biddy notelet. Even though its completely different to anything i have ever made, i love it!!! The apple sticker came from a sheet of DCWV sweet stickers, you get loads on the sheet and when you only use one like this how economical is that!!!! The papers were freebies from a magazine and i cut all the layers with my nesties - simples!!! Behind the apple I made a lil lace rosette style thingy, basically, i sewed along one edge of the lace and pulled it tight to make the shape, its really easy to do ( if i wasnt i would never have done it LOL ), then i finished the whole thing off with a rub-on sentiment.

Here is another of the cards i made a while back and never got a chance to post. I Have used a super cute Pollycraft Kiki bear image. I am seriously loving these lil beauties!! I have a fair few ready to get colouring up!! They are just sooo darn cute - and who can resist this lil cutie with her cakes at only 66p!!

Papers are all by MME Quite Contrairy and all the edges have been distressed with my lil tool. The sentiment was printed from the computer and the ribbon was an odd little bit i found in my stash. A pretty simple card really, just some layers of gorgeous papers on a scalloped card blank :) A nice bright card for the gorgeous weather we are having at the moment!! - Nice short post from me today, I still have ALL those cards to make!!! - eeeek!!

Woooow, long time no post eh? Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of crafting and blogging!!!! I do have a few things i need to share with you, but not enough!!! I have had soo much going on here i haven't even had a time to blog the little amount of crafting i did manage to do!! I have a gooorgeous Squiggle Stamps creation to share with you today, and am going to be spending the rest of the week trying to get my thank you teacher cards done, lil man has 7 teachers in his class!!! How greedy is that!!! His main teacher is also deputy head, so he has 3 other teachers that all work part time then he has teaching assistants, better get a serious wriggle on i think!!!!

Yey, its time for another Pink Gem Challenge!!! My second GDT spot over on the challenge blog - how long have I been making cards and I STILL get a lil nervous when it comes to DT work LOL!!!!!! You should definately come and join us if you can this month at A Gem of a Challenge because its coming up to Mandys birthday and she is kindly donating extra prizes!!! I was lucky enough to get this super cute Schoolboy Andy image sent to me by Janet to use on my DT card - just perfect for me with Ryan breaking up from school in a few weeks, i STILL can't quite believe that he is almost through his first year of school!!! It seems like only yesterday he turned 5!!! I was older than he is now before i even started school and her he is having finished his first year. Boy they really DO grow up quickly dont they!!

Here is my inside ... yes it is plain, i know, i dont normally do the insides so this is my feeble attempt at it! - There are some pretty papers and a border so its not all that bad!! Paper are scrummy Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride - the graph paper reminded me of school so I thought it would be perfect teamed up with that funky number paper. Mounted with some plain black card and some buttons with colours to match i found in my button box. Thats it really, obv i distressed the edges as always, just have to wait for little man to scrawl all over the insides now!!!

New release at Pink Gem!!!

Its chriiiiiiiisssssssssssssttttttttttmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaassssssssss!! Ok, so it clearly isn't, the sun is shining and its soooooo flippin hot, but today it shall be christmas on my blog!!! Pink Gem designs have released some new stamps yesterday, there are some gorgeous jungle animal designs and two adorable snowpeople!! I thought i would make a headstart with my cards this year so made a festive card!!

I have used the fabby new polymer stamp Skating Snowman. Isn't he cute!! I fluffed up the furry bits on his hat and gloves with my white flower soft. I used this loads last christmas on fluffy trims and remembered last minute that i had it so he got the snow treatment!! I also added flower soft to the snowflake, it looks soooo cool in real life. It is one cut from my new spellbinders shapeabilities create a flake also available at Pink Gem here - i was sooo pleased when i saw Janet had these in stock, i looked for them EVERYWHERE last year and they were always out of stock!! The papers are all digi and the sentiment is Pink Petticoat. Please go and check out the cards made by the other Pink Gem DT members, they have been playing with the new releases too and there are some stunning creations you wouldn't wanna miss!!!

Looook, no TGF image in sight! - Ok so it is Wild Rose Studio again lol, but still its something different still as promised!!!! My lil man has DEFINATELY caught the crafty blog so I finally got around to setting him up, - yes i know he is only 5 which is why it is all done in my name lol, here's hoping come the summer holidays he just wants to sit and make cards!!! As alot of you know Tracey from CraftyCorner is my MIL, well not quite MIL but she is Ryans Nanny, she is on a few challenge DTs and he wanted to make a card and enter it into one of her challenges bless him. He wanted to make a card for For Fun Challenge, where this week they want you to get patriotic so naturally he wanted to do another football card. Well, it wouldn't be fair to let him have some fun without me so to cut a long story short - we both used the same image and made a card for the challenge together!! Man can i waffle!!! Loook there is a card in this post honest .......

Tada!!!!! Pretty patriotic-ish. Thinking of England always makes me think of the footy anyway, and incase that wasn't patriotic enough i used the colours in our flag. Lil man's card is awesome, I will leave a linky tomorrow when he has blogged it so you can go look if you want to - he wants to blog it himself but it was bedtime - bless him!!

Ok, so you know what it't like (at least i hope you all do and it's not just me!!) - there are soo many gorgeous sketches and challenges out now, you see one make a card for it and then can not find it to link it up EVER!!! With soo much inspiration and ideas out there, I thought it was about time i got myself a lil note book to keep all my ideas, sketches and that all important i neeeeeeeeed list in!! What better image to use than .. stamping anya!!! Isn't she just fabulous daaaahling!!!! - Yes ... my name is Zoe and Im a stamp-aholic!! LOL!!!

Well onto the actual crafting ...... I took the cover off this cheapy notebook and made it boooootiful using MME Quite Contrary papers (again!!) some more of the chipboard alphas from the set i had been hoarding but now seem to be using tons, some more doodlebug ribbon and a wee button. I didn't want to add loads of embellies because i didn't really want them falling off!! That button is tied through the ribbon in a double knot!!! Anya was of course coloured with my copics, I added the spots to her headband with a sakura gel pen and i created the scallop accross the bottom of the paper with a Martha Stewart scalloped punch. Thats about it folks, usual distressing to all the papers and some paper piercing around the edges - nothing new there then!!

Bright and Sunny Birthday

Hooooray!!! The weather is gorgeous again ( apologies now if it starts tipping it down this afternoon and weeks to come now!!! ) I have a bright and sunny card to share today - papers totally inspired by the weather at the moment!!!! A TOTAL me card - bright and cute and distressed!!!!

I loooove this image from Squiggle Stamps, i knew i had to have her as soon as I saw her - my cousins all have cats so it was the perfect image for me to use on loads of cards! I have had her for a while but my printer broke - booooooooo, well its FINALLY fixed so i have been taking advantage and have used digi papers, digi image and a sentiment I created myself on the PC. Oh how i loooooooove printing stuff!! Im not sure if you can tell in the image, but lil ladies skirt, headband and all the presents have been paper pieced. Its sooo easy to paper piece with digi images and there is hardly any wastage, you can just copy and paste the image onto one of the papers and then crop so you only print the little bit you need - awesome!! The ribbon is doodlebug and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and i loves them!!

This card is for my Auntie, leaving everything to the last minute AGAIN - tis her Birthday today lol!!

A VERY special post - Ryans Card

Now, i have something VERY special to share today!!! My little man just turned 5 last month and seems to have got my creative bug!! When i saw over on the Greeting Farm blog that they had a challenge for boys and men to make a card I just knew he would want to enter. You had to c.a.s.e one of the cards made by Jessicas boys and hubby so i was a little worried he would struggle but he was awesome!!!
I took LOTS of piccies of him making it so it is going to be a picture heavy post Im afraid lol, buuuut i needed to record it so when he is old and laughs at me for making my cards i can show him LOL!!!

This is the card he chose to c.a.s.e

and here is his finished card ....

Isn't it fab!!! He wanted to make a card with Soccer Ian, and with the world cup at the moment, he wanted to add all the little flags as his embellies on the card!! - the eager eyes amongst you might notice the Arsenal badge in the top corner lol, he wanted to sneak that one in!!

Here he is colouring in the image with his Toy Story crayons - no way was he getting hold of my copics!!!

Here he is drawing his own embellies using my laptop as a reference point!

Carefully cutting them out ... look at the concentration on his face!!

Et voilla .. here he is all proud of his card. ( yes i know he isnt looking in the picture - he was looking down at the card and pointing to it reminding me to take a nice picture so you can all see how good it is!!!! lol )

I have a lovely BRIGHT creation to share with you today!!!! Yes - I know, another card using a Greeting Farm image - i honestly can't help it!! I am totally in LOVE with these stamps! My poor blog seems to be full of Wild Rose Studio and The Greeting Farm cards at the moment!!! Fear not though, I have been getting inky and stamped up a whole bunch of images ready to get creative with so I can promise you there will be a card featuring something different soon!!

I really LOVE this image, she is perfect for making those grungy teen cards - but brings cuteness with it - love it!! I couldn't resist adding pink to her hair, so matched her up with these ultra bright papers which I think are made by DCWV, all mounted onto black cardstock - perfect match if i do say so myself :) The check ribbon is by doodle bug, I have had it an age and never really known what to put it with, totally right on this card though!!! The finer pink satin ribbon was just floating in my stash and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I kept the layout nice and simple again - the papers are busy enough all by themselves!!! A little bit of tearing and some distressing around the image and I was done - simples!!

Its not often that I actually make a card for a reason LOL!!! I normally just make them for fun or to enter challenges, but i wanted to make a card for one of my lovely friends who finally qualifies as a doctor at the end of this week - well i say qualifies, she has her last exam so all her studying is over. I wanted to avoid the whole - 'congratulations' route as she hasn't actually passed yet, but i wanted to make her a little something for all the hard work she has put into it so i settled on Great Job! Im a little nervous about giving it to her, I have never made a card for one of my friends before, but I guess there is first for everything. Hopefully she will like :)

The papers are the same as the previous card - MME Quite Contrary, I love them soo much i wanted to use then up before they got lost in the bottom of my scrap drawer. I still have lots of the paper left too - love how they are double sided - I can't believe how far just 2 sheets of paper are going!! The image is TGF and I thought it would be perfect to celebrate the end of her studies!! I coloured her with my copics, added some gems and a rub-bon and thats it really - nice and simple layout again. I made the flower using my nesties and just scrunched them and layered it up.

I love love love this stamp!!! Sally left me a comment on one of my previous cards saying that she had this image ready to be inked up so i just had to go ink up this beauty myself!! It reminded me of when i had coffee with Dulcie miss Wild Rose Studio herself!! I do love my coffee mmmmmmmm!!!

I did some paper piecing for a change on this card and i just LOVE how her dress matches the background paper, I can see myself doing this lots more!! Twas a wee bit fiddly cutting it out but TOTALLY worth it right? Such a bright and cheerful card - love it!! The papers are MME Quite Contrary i think, soo feminine and girly - perfect for these girly images i seem to be addicted to!! Quite a simple layout again really, the border is Fiskars threaded water and i popped some lil gems in each of the holes, then finished off with some piercing around the edges to add a wee bit more interest and some more gems - well a girls gotta have her bling - im loving the lil pink one in her hair its just meant to be there isn't it!

Today I have another card I made for Pink Gem Designs. I was lucky enough to be sent this gorgeous Marvin Monkey image by Janet so just had to have a go at colouring in those jungle leaves. I thought it was going to be a nightmade but actually - it was pretty easy - nice and big spaces to colour making it easier to shade - phew!!!

Craig's brother LOVES monkeys, although it is not his Birthday till July, I thought i would use this lil fella to make his card from the kiddies now - check me out for being organised! Woohoo!! Seriously though - how cute is he playing peek-a-boo in the jungle - love him! He is available here as a digi stamp over at Pink Gem Designs and can be your for just £1.13 in the sale at the moment. Perfect for guy cards!!

I teamed Marvin up with some DCWV the green stack papers, i just had to put him with these two designs, look at the trees and leaves - perfect!! I finished off with some chipboard letters which i distressed the edges of and some string and button. The Chipboard is from that same QVC kit i got the stickers in I have used on my previous cards, see I really am being good using up my old stash - go me!!

Ok, so I'm not chilling with my wine - if only!! But this lil beauty is!! I LOVE these papers from the WRS spring fling pack - i just couldn't put them away, so i have used them again on this card!!! - Another of the WRS girlies used too - they are just too cute to resist - i love them!! Check this beauty out chilling with her wine - now that's the life!! LOL!

See how different this card looks to the one i posted the other day? Technically speaking it is the same - well it uses the same range of images - the girly, the papers are from the same pad, i used another Craftwork Cards sentiment and made another paper flower with another WRS brad from the same pack - but HOW DIFFERENT!!! I told you it was a very versitile pad didn't I!! Amazing i know!! I love it just as much though - not quite as girly, but girly enough!! See the little 'beauty' above the image - that is a super old rub-on that i found, at the time it seemed like a good idea to add it there in the corner but now i'm not too sure about it - typical eh?

Ok, bright papers, Greeting Farm image ... it isn't that different, but the layout was a challenge. This is my attempt at a nice clean and simple card LOL - not that good at it am I!! I saw the sketch over on The Greeting Farm blog and I thought it was super simple and sort of scrappy in style - totally not me - hardly any scrummy layers to be seen really - I have got to say it though - although it was a bit of a challenge - i LOVE the card. Who knows - I might make a few more lil beauties like this one. Simple but elegant just like me ( i wish LOL)

The image is from the lovely Hope and Grace set, I am guessing this cutie is Grace - she looks pretty gracefull doesnt she standing there in the flowers!!! I have of course coloured her in with my copics using colours to match and i couldn't resist adding the white polka dots to her hair band and top using my white gel pen - look how it matches the spotty paper - cute if i do say so myself!!! The papers are Early bird by cosmo cricket, the string is .. well its just string really lol and the button again .. just a button! I hope you like it :) A little different, but then its always nice for a change isnt it!!!

Well, after all those guy cards I thought i should share something definately girly and pink :) I was looking for some challenges to join in that weren't Fathers Day related and spotted that over at For Fun Challenges they want to see a Birthday creation - I knew instantly what stash to dig out!!

I LOVE this card - the WRS girlies are my favourites anyway so no surprises really that i used this image - the papers are WRS too, from the Spring Fling paper pack - these papers are SOOOO versitile, this card is soo pretty with muted and pastel colours, there are some VERY bright ones in the pad too though!! I love it when there is a complete mix of papers in a pad to suit every mood imaginable!!!! I made the flower using papers from the stack too and if you look closely enough you can see the matching brad - i LOVE that you can get matching brads to the papers, STUNNING!!!! Infact the only thing that is not Wild Rose Studio on this card is the Craftwork Cards sentiment and the pink DCWV card i used to mount everything onto!!! Ok, so i wasn't ON the booze when i made it - don't worry, it is all straight and pretty looking i promise - well as pretty as you get for a card for a blokey!!!!!! As promised yesterday, I have another card using the STUNNING goodies i was so very kindly given from Dulcie - I love love love them and i SWEAR she modeled this stamp on my Dad - she even got his beer belly in there nicely!!! LOL!!

Now i told you yesterday that as well as the nice 'plainer' papers in the For Men paper pack there was a nice lil collection of fabulous patterned ones - well just look at those beer papers - the gorgeous red with the pint glass image and how cute is that text paper - it even has teeny weeny pints all over it!! Love them, such an awesome lil detail to have on the card!!!

Again I kept the layout simple, a bit of paper piercing to add a wee bit of detail and then the Alpha - I am sooo proud of myself to finally be using these alphas up - they came from a QVC tsv YEARS ago - go me!! LOL Coloured with my copics and thats about it. Simples!!

Today - or should i say tonight!! Honestly - I have had these pictures sat on my desktop all day long trying to find the time to blog them, I have finally sat down to do them now and the day is almost over!!!! As i said im my previous post, on our wee mini break I was lucky enough to meet the fabulous Dulcie from Wild Rose Studio - I loooove her, she is a right sweetie - the poor thing had to put up with not just me but the whole crew and was completely awesome with the kiddies!! They LOVED her and took a hand each and pretty dragged her around for hours bless them. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon chicky, and for pointing me in the direction of THE scrummiest cakes ever!!! As if that wasn't enough, she gave me a wee goodie bag to bring home - 2 of the HOTP new men stamps and the new mens paper pack!! They are GORGEOUS and soooo perfect with the footy and Fathers Day coming up.

Now, enough waffle .... here is the eye candy .....

I told you - HOW cute is this lil chappy - he is just fabulous and a DREAM to colour. I of course used my copics!! The papers used are all from the stack other than the grey card used for mounting. I LOVE these papers - have I said that already :p - they are gorgeous tones of blue, red white and beige and they are soo perfect for men. The ones used on this card are plainer patterned ones, but i have a boozy lil creation to share with you tomorrow using THE most AWESOME papers!! I was very reserved and added NO embellishments other than the alpha, with an image and papers as striking as these bad boys it didnt really need any help :)

A Gem of a Challenge DT card!!

Yup - I made it as a Guest Designer over at Pink Gem Designs!! Soooo excited!! Sorry it has taken me this long to get around to actually posting about it, it has been half term, my lil mans 5th Birthday ( 5 already - boy has it gone quickly! ) we went on a lil trip away to Legoland then to Bristol where I met the goooorgeous Dulcie ( hello Ducl - mwwwah!!!!!) then we came back to have family come and stay to celebrate lil mans birthday and then ... well then i played catch up and got my DT card made LOL!! - Anyway enough of my waffle - lets look at the card! Its a pretty one!!
Here is my first DT card for the A Gem of a Challenge blog. How exciting!!! Its a nice and easy challenge - I think they are trying to break me in gently lol. Buttons and Ribbons. Well, i was going to pop just one ribbon and one button on, but thought i would go all out!!! I have sat the gorgeous Fairy Chloe on three different ribbons, cream, blue and that gorgeous ric rac, i have no idea where they come from though ( well they came from my jar of ribbon lol ). There are two wee buttons hiding in the middle of the flowers - and the last button - check out the magic wand - I was soooo excited when i found the little star button - especially when it 'almost' fitted exactly - it was clearly made for this card!!!! The papers are all gorgeous and sparkly from the MME Laundy Line collection- I can't believe i chopped into 4 different glittery papers, but a gorgeous image deserves gorgeous papers don't you think!!!

If you wanna get your hands on this goooorgeous lil Fairy Chloe she is being released as a polymer stamp tomorrow alongside lots of other gorgeous stamps here. I hope you like my challenge card - twas a bit nervous making my first DT contribution!! It would be lovely if you could all come and join in the fun over on the Gem of a Challenge blog, lets face it, who doesnt use ribbon and buttons on their cards!!! lol

A summery card for summery weather :)

Today I have quite possibly the quickest card I have ever made to share with you!! I finally got around to doing some blog hopping and discovered that Janet over at Pink Gem Designs is having a DT call!! Now who DOESNT love her images right? I just had to have a go! Well, i only found the DT call after dinner and it ends midnight TONIGHT!!! Aaaaaaaaah, luckily it was a colour challenge, pretty simples really. Pink, Green and Burgandy - thank the lord for Basic Grey Sultry papers - simply PERFECT for this challenge!! Yipeee!!!!!

I spent more time colouring the image than anything else, then as I was actually pretty pleased with the colouring I went for a nice and simple layout to draw the eye to the gorgeous image, ( ok, so yes it is ANOTHER Greeting Farm image - as if that comes as a surprise lol.)

Nice and easy to list the supplies used really - all papers and card are from Basic Grey Sultry range, image TGF, coloured with copics, oooh and a white rubon and Wild Rose Studio brad in the middle of my handmade flower. - Told you it was simples :) - just like me!!!! A lil bit of paper piercing around the edges and its done!!

Ok - so its my sisters birthday today and yes - i left it till the last minute to make her card, and trust me to get poorlies! I have redeemed myslef though - i did a bit of juggling around and some 'recycling' of elements from other cards to throw them all together and this is what i came up with. I was planning on making it days ago - but hey this IS me!!!!

The papers are the gorgeous urban prairie - soooo girlie i love them!! The image is of course TGF. I promise i will make a card with a different image soon but i sooo love these babies!! My sister has finally started university so i thought they image was quite appropriate!! The flower was made with my nestabilities blossom dies, a lil button and some ribbon tied in a bow. Sister is made using doodlebug rubons and the 4 and U are chipboard shapes from the same kit as the alpha stickers on my previous card. - Check me out using up my old stash!!

Yippeee another card made - and another MAN one i might add. Ok, technically this just like card i posted Friday is cute as anything but they are both still definately male cards!!I had the papers out still from my previous card, I love them soo much i decided to actually get a wee bit organised and make my uncles birthday card. I say get organised, his birthday is this Friday, so technically i should have prob done it by now anyway but this IS organised for me LOL!!!
I used another TGF cutie. I honestly can NOT get enough of these babies - they are sooo cute and sooo totally me!! This card isn't really appropriate for a 40something man, it looks a bit teenagerish to me but heck - i dont care i like it!!!

The papers are from Joy Ride again, and the stickers are from a kit i bought YONKS ago on QVC in a TSV kit, i dont really like them that much, but they matched the orange in the papers pretty well, and they look a wee bit graffiti / ransom letter-ish so I thought they wouldnt look too bad!!! Looking at the purple strip now, i wish i had layered it / bordered it or done something with it as its a wee bit bare, but alas, its made now and i am NOT peeling those alphas off. Twill do fine as it is!!

Phew - I bet you thought that i had run away!!!! Nopes Im back and i actually have some cardage too - woop woop!!!! Things have got crazy busy here, i have been doing too much overtime and have literally been going to bed once i tucked the lil ones in - crazy right!!!! I have made a few cards for birthdays and things, but where i am soo far behind and made them last minute - literally about an hour before i gave them out lol, i didn't have time to photo them, i did make sure i got a picture of the card i made for my cousin Kieran though, he was 8 on Wednesday :)

I love this image - Soccer Ian from the Greeting Farm. I do loooove their images soo much - perfect for my football mad cousin!! They are soo lovely to colour too - which is a good job too - I'm trying to 'master' my colouring technique - I have decided, i just need more copics LOL so i can feel a spending spree coming on - mind you i KNOW i deserve one, looking after wee Abigail all week long then working evenings and weekends too!!!!

The papers are my favourites at the moment, I know i say this tons, but this pad is delish!! Its called Joy Ride and they are Cosmo Cricket. It is an awesome pad for the guys, it has an orange, brown, purple, turqoise kinda theme running through the pad and it is sorta retro and modernish at the same time. Its just fab!! I love it!!

It seems like forever since i have made cards etc, whilst checking through my blog I realised that i still haven't uploaded my winning blinkies. .. Yup - my cards were picked on not one, not two but three challenges!! Wooohoooo sooo excited!! It makes me wanna go grab my stamps and get playing straight away.

I was picked number one at polkadoodles a few weeks ago, in the top five on the sweet stampin challenge blog and top 3 on the die cut dreams challenge blog!! Yippee!!! Im sooo excited and I shall wear my new badges with pride!!

Ok, so this isnt really card related, but it is most definately crafty!!!! I warn you now this post is going to be very picture heavy - I spent sooo long making it i feel its important to document every last detail!!!

Yup .... the last day of term before easter sees the easter bonnet parade. Well.... i had arguments with my little man last week - ten minutes before leaving for school he decided he needed his bonnet then and told me - "its ok mummy you can quickly make on now, it wont take long!!", hmmmmm wont take long eh? How about a whole WEEK!!!! - Yup!! I spent a WEEK making this!!! All worth it though Im sure - Little Ryan has BIG plans!! Soooo wanna see? ....

Yes ... that is a GIANT papermache chicken!!! I dont think i have EVER done it before, it is VERY messy but sooo much fun!!! Clearly one giant chicken is not enough though, so we set about making the 3 pom pom chickens to sit in the front of the hat with it so it wouldnt get lonely!!

Yup - clearly that is STILL not enough chickens so we had to stick some little ones on next to the eggs so they look like they are sitting in the straw nest. Check out the wings too - Ryan wanted to cover the whole chickn in yellow feathers but could i find a bag of yellow feathers anywhere? I was not gonna buy millions of mixed coloured bags so he settled for hand cut felt feathers on the wings - birds cant fly without feathers on their wings!!!

What type of nest would it be without feathers - chickends are ALWAYS dropping feathers everywhere so I have been told!

Are you loving the hair on top? I stupidly forgot that there would be a hole where the balloon knot was and made that bit the top of the chicken - doh!! Never mind - im rather liking the mohawk - rather funky dont ya think!! So there you have it one MASSIVE boys easter hat with no flower in sight - yes it is rather over the top and clumsy looking but it does fit ... well sort of ..

See :) - Im sorry about the piccy - that is the BEST we could get of him wearing it - little mad does NOT do smiling in photographs - you can get a how many teeth is it possible to show in one picture kinda grin but no lovely glamourous shots!! So there you have it ... tada!!!!!!!!

I just adore this lil Anya image - isn't she just the sweetest!! As soon as i saw that a few of the challenges wanted to see spring creations i just haaaad to give her a colour!!!
I have used another scalloped card blank from craftwork cards, i looove these and think they make a lovely change every once in a while!! I had soo much fun colouring this little cutey in!!!! I cant remember what papers they are that I used, but i grabbed them because they matched the colours they want you to use over at a few of the challenge blogs. I followed the sketch this week for Friday Sketchers, and over at Anyone for Anya they want to see spring inspired creations. I sooo love my Greeting Farm images and really dont use them nearly as much as i should - I shall make an effort to join AFA more often as some of my fabby buddies are on the team too!!!! I did make the mothers day card for their last challenge but never had time to post it!!!

Happy Mothers day - for yesterday lol!!

This is the card that i made for Mum for Mothers Day, I had made her a different card a few weeks ago which i blogged - only to find out that she actually reads my blog and never told me so i had to make another one!!I was hoping to get this posted yesterday, but i had to go to work - no fair!!! Your not MEANT to work mothers day if your a mummy surely!!!!!!!! I hope all the mummys out there had a fabby mothers day - we all had breakfast together here in the morning before i went to work - boohooo lol and then we went to my mums for a scrummy roast beef dinner yum!! I got a gooooorgeous lil bunch of flowers from my babies, and a set of Greeting Farm stamps - ok i bought them myself but they remind me soo much of my little ones!!
For my card i used a Greeting Farm digi, and the papers are MME Laundry Line i think. The flowers are random ones from my stash fixed with a Wild Rose Studio brad. The ribon was from an old QVC kit and the lace was from the market. Finished with a sentiment printed from the computer attatched with another of the big heart brads.

This is the card I made for my uncle who has his birthday next week - get me getting organised!! Woohoo!!! I used another of those gorgeous dragon images, these are serisouly fab for male cards and they colour beautifully with distress inks!! I loooove my copics, but i dont really have that many yet and found it easier colouring the dragon with inks than my few green pens!!!

Yup ... i cut the sentiment up again lol, told you you will get bored of seeing it - i tied another button with string too - what other embellishments are you meant to use on guy cards? String and buttons are the only thing i can really think of!!!

I have more male birthdays coming up - grooooan, so expect to see lots more string and buttons in the near future!!!!

Looking through my lil box of cards i have collected i realised that i didnt have many thank you cards!! Infact i didnt have ANY - so i quickly set about rectifying the situation. This little cutie in the March release from DigiStamp Boutique was just perfect for a thank you card!!!

Another pretty similar layout really, and a super simple card but I loves it :) I cut the sentiment out again - Im loving doing this at the moment, you will prob all get really bored of seeing it on my blog, but i am starting to run out of sentiments in my stash, and printing a page of alphabets on the computer and cutting them out is just waaaay to easy!!!

The papers are daisy bucket but im not sure which design sorry ( i can only tell they are daisy bucket because they are suuuper thin and i always worry about ripping the paper when i distress DB ones !!!) I added some doodlebug butterfly buttons which i have had for AGES, and a random flower with a button and string centre.

Well, I made my card yesterday for my loooovely OH - didnt please my little man though - he decided that he needed a card made for him too because " you love me too dont you mummy!" Sally-Ann sent me some more scrummy images and this one was perfect!!! Look at little Lucas on his rocket!! We are always telling each other "I love you to the moon and back", so i am sure he will love it :)

I coloured the image with my copic markers - i promise in real life it is not all patchy and blotchy like that - i have no idea why it has come out that way in the picture - my colouring isnt that bad- promise!! LOL The whole thing looks a bit muted actually - i will have to invest in one of those light tent things i think - best start saving!!

I have no idea where the papers come from but i LOVE them and they are just PERFECT for this image, i can see myself using the cute lil fella a lot. You can go and grab him here over at the DigiStamp boutique - a bargain at 99p if i do say so myself!!

Today i have a just because card to share with you!! I had no reason to make this card, it wasnt for an occasion or anything, its a just because i love you card :)

Craig is always sooo lovely about my hobby, encouraging me and telling me my cards are beautifull when i get stressed and threaten to throw the stupid thing in the bin - please tell me its not just me that this happens too!!!

As i was looking through my images i have already stamped I came across this beauty and my card just instantly popped into my head and for once I can say that it has turned out exactly as planned - yay!!

For a change i used my distress inks to colour this lil beauty in. I thought i would try something different and tried to give a blue glow to the image, I think it has turned out alright although i definately need more practice!!!

I really love this card, its one of my favourites i think!!! Its now sitting proudly on Craigs work desk :) - well it will be when i give it back to him after borrowing it to photograph!! I make soo many cards that just float around in a box untill needed, it was really nice to make one i can give straight away!!

It was my looooovely Mum and Dads anniversary on Monday, this is the card that I made them. How cool is that image - its a Pink Cat Studio digi image and i looove it!! It takes forever to colour all those hearts though - although i guess if you coloured them all the same colour it wouldnt take you anywhere near as long as it did me!!! - Im really pleased with the results though :)

The papers are a few years old from MME. Im trying really hard to use up my old stash, its really yummy and i have to teach myself not to be afraid of cutting it up!! I was very proud of myself for cutting into 3 unused sheets of paper!!! Go me!! lol!!!!!!! I used another one of those large brads too - i really love them now i have used some and i have no idea why i hadn't used them for soo long!!! I layered the papers onto some coredinations cardstock and used my heart lace border punch along the bottom strip.

As some of you know, things have been a little hectic for me lately and i decided to leave a few of my design team positions. Stampin for the Weekend was one of them :( It was a sad decision to leave, they are all such lovely people. When i checked the blog yesterday and saw they only had a small amount of entries, i quickly made this one up to support them!!

I have used another of my scrummy Wild Rose Studio stamps, i looove this one sat chilling with her wine - perfect for mothers day, so i am actually organised this year and have it prepared well in advance!!!! The papers are all MME Bloom and Grow, and the ribbon is from my stash. The flowers - well dont even get me started on them. Pretty right? - they are useless!!! Serisouly - they are rubbish!! I got them in 99p store - should have known i know!!! There was a whole sheet of them on there so i stupidly bought all the colours they had. Well, as soon as i pulled them off the sheet they fell apart, so each layer on the rose has been glued back together by me!!! Nightmare - i will be heading over to that fabby Wild Orchid Crafts in the future thats for sure!!

I told you that the new monthly offer over at DigiStamp Boutique was full of gorgeous images didn't I!! I have another card made with one of them to share here with you today. This time .. I actually used it to make an easter card though :p
I have used papers from the DCWV Green Stack - lots of lovely bright colours that just scream spring to me, and i love that they are recycled too, makes me feel good when using them!!

The challenge over at Digital Tuesday i scallops - i have used lots on this card so i shall be entering!! The centre panel has a scalloped border either side made using my Fiskars threaded water punch, and to make a bit of a change, i used my punch to create scalloped mats for the image and sentiment. It is quite tricky to get them all lined up, but i love the effect. The card is then finished off with a lil bit of ribbon :)

Spring Coco and Friends

I have another card to share with you today - can you believe it!!! Loooots of cards :) Being the first of March today, its time for the new offer of the month over at DigiStamp Boutique. This time around Sally-Ann has put together a lovely group of easter images. They are gooorgeous, you get 5 together for £2.99 so they are really reasonable - and super cute!! To show you how versatile the images are, i have chosen to use one of the fab bunny and chick images to make a birthday card.

Hoppy Bird-day! LOL i was cracking myself up as i made this one - as soon as i saw it with the lil hopping bunny i just KNEW i was gonna make this card hehe!!

I have made my card to enter into the Copic Colour Challenge. I looove my copics soo much and never seem to enter!!! - First time for everything!! The colours this week are YG03 which i used in the grass, Y17 which is on the lil chicky, and C7 - there is the teeniest bit of C7 on the shading - i didnt want the lil bunny being too dark. - Perfect colours for this image dont you think!!

Ok now this one REALLY is my favourite image from Wild Rose Studio. Anyone who knows me will be well aware of how much i LOOOOOOOVE my coffee, so i was DELIGHTED when the little bit of rubber gorgeousness came in my DT pack. Its gooooooorgeous!!! I like to think that is EXACTLY how i look when i am sat chugging down the coffee!! - Its suuuuper sweet!!
Again, all the papers etc are from Wild Rose Studio - they really seem to match the new images beautifully! The sentiment is also from Wild Rose Studio, as is the brad. Now serioulsy im not sure if you can see so you might have to click to enlarge but the brad has exactly the same rose from that gorgeous paper in!! Its goooorgeous!
Right, enough waffle from me i have to get ready to go to work - fun times!!!

Crafty Catz - Fancy edge and a ribbon - as well as using my border punch on the strip EVERY edge has been rubbed over with a distressing tool - looks pretty fancy to me ;) and of course the lil pink bow is made from ribbon.
Crazy 4 Challenges - Its all about texture - I added texture to the edge of all the papers with my distressing tool.

Another cutie from Wild Rose Studio to share today - I know i say this with every one of those images but this is definately another favourite image. I just looooove them all soo much it is impossible to choose!!!

I have coloured the image with my copics, and mounted onto some DCWV card which i punched with my Doily lace punch. I then layered it onto various Wild Rose Studio papers - check out hte paper with the cake - yummy!!! I then added the pink gingham ribbon across the layered strip, and a flower to the top corner. Im not sure if you can from this picture, but the brad in the centre of the flower is also from Wild Rose Studio and it matches the polkadot paper perfectly!!

Another of the cards that I made with my Wild Rose Studio goodies :) I think this is one of my favourite stamps EVER - i loooooooove it!! - Ok, so this is not one of the new images, but all the papers are. Check out the gorgeous rose backing paper - im not normally a rose kinda girl but i LOOOOVES it!!! So pretty!!I am really loving the pink/aqua colour combination at the moment. It is just so fresh and well ... scrummy!!I bought out the old doily lace punch to scallop the bottom of the image panel and finished it off with a lil bit of ribbon - nice and simple but soooo pretty!
